Cultivating a Regenerative Future
Greener Acres provides the missing piece that transforms land-trust, government-owned, and development properties into organic and regenerative farmland that supports a more resilient food system.
Our Mission
Greener Acres builds resilient, regenerative food systems. We do this by integrating working farms and farmers markets into existing and emerging community developments, putting underused public and conservation land to more productive use as organic farmland, and supporting existing farms in transitioning to regenerative practices.
What We Do
- Improve soil health and farming practices. We help land transition to organic and regenerative methods, restoring the ground that feeds us.
- Integrate farms into communities. We weave working farms and farmers markets into new and existing developments, so fresh food is part of daily life.
- Create stronger food systems. We put underutilized public and private land to work, turning it into a lasting local food source.
How We Do It
- Assess the land. We evaluate soil health, site conditions, and regulatory context to determine the highest and best use for regenerative and organic farming.
- Plan the solution. We develop site-specific strategies, from small farm plots to full working asset conversions, integrating farms and farmers markets into the surrounding community.
- Cultivate the outcome. We help landowners see the productive potential their property already holds, and help communities see the food source growing in it.
We Believe
Healthier soil. Stronger local food economies. Communities that can feed themselves. That’s the future Greener Acres is building.
